Dr. MooYoung is certified as an Out of Network provider with Tricare.
We are currently private-pay, out-of-network providers with all other insurance companies. While we don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost.
We have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions, instead of paying our full fee and waiting for reimbursements. [Note: If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan, you will have to pay our full fee and will receive a paper check reimbursement in a few weeks.]

Increased privacy: Insurance companies can request to review therapy records, to include your diagnosis and your progress in treatment. This information can be used to determine whether they will continue to pay for therapy. Additionally, the diagnosis becomes part of your insurance record and may also impact future coverage or premiums.
More options for a good “fit”: For therapy to be effective, there must be a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist. When you are not limited to only the providers accepting your insurance, you have a better chance of finding someone that can help you meet your treatment goals and improve your overall quality of life.
More accessible and individualized care: Insurance companies can limit access to care by requiring pre-authorizations and dictating the number of covered sessions. By using private pay, you and your therapist can customize your care based on your specific needs.

During the initial evaluation, you will be asked various questions so that your therapist can learn more about you and understand what is bringing you into therapy at this point in time. You will also be asked to share information about your health, your past experiences with therapy, and your current goals for treatment.

We recommend starting therapy with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. The length of therapy varies based on each individual’s goals. Some people will feel their goals are met in a few months, whereas others may engage in therapy for several years. Most people fall somewhere in the middle.
The typical therapy session is 50 minutes; however, some treatment approaches require sessions that are 90 minutes in length. At the end of your initial intake evaluation we will discuss the specific course of care for your individual concerns.

Your appointment time is reserved for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel within less than 24 hours from the start of our appointment time, you will be charged for the full session fee.
